fragmented memories

Smiling to the world she passes the fragments of glass. Looking and seeing the reflections beside her. They vanish, all that remains is her lonely image. She has no one, only herself as a companion. Friends all around her, who are really enemies. Destroying her day by day. Lies...Truth being told... Hate within smiles. Only she sees the truth. She is no longer blind but how she wishes she was. The truth hurts, no one cares. The ones that did are only images in the shattered glass.

Looking away from the fragments... they bring too much pain. Stepping over them she looks up at the broken mirror. No longer seeing herself, no longer seeing her pain. Her body is wrecked, she is a sham, a joke. Nothing more than one of the broken fragments, Lying in the pool of blood. Tears stream down her face, she wipes them away, Leaving bloodstains on her perfectly happy face. No one sees this... they are blind.

Seeing nothing as she looks in the shattered mirror. Broken fragments remain to remind her nothing can be erased. Still longing for the return knowing it won't come. Bleeding for the company, to bring back joy to her life. Oh how she longs for deep conversation. She can't take more thoughts, more memories, more hope. The blood runs down her plastic cheeks, Knowing the memories will always be there to haunt her, To remind her of what has been lost.

In the glass fragments she sees one with his smile. She sees another with his honest face but haunting mind. Sees all of her friends and those who have hurt her. Destroyed her for pleasure. Turning away she sees the pieces left behind, That she never noticed before. She sees the images of the ones that care most. She can't bear to look at them. For in their eyes she sees their pain. They weren't like the other fragments... they stayed.
